Timberline (Gallatin County) - Status Current As Of 7/18/2008

 

Activities/Work Currently In Progress At This Site:

·         DIR 082 - Timberline – Additional Infrastructure Upgrades - was created and submitted to IMTC, IMFC, and IMPD.  It was decided to table the DIR until this can be discussed with Sabre.

 

Issue Currently Affecting This Site:

·         Frequencies:

·         No interoperability frequencies. No estimated date for resolution.

 

Future Activities/Work Planned At This Site:

·         Infrastructure (16% complete, 2008)

·         Shelter Upgrades

·         Generator.& Propane Tank

·         Microwave hop to Nixon Ridge (Summer 2008)

·         Microwave hop to Gallatin EOC (Summer 2008)

·         Trunking, 4 trunked channels, 1 interop channel (Summer 2008)

·         Antenna system order pending design completion.

 

Previous Activities/Work Completed At This Site:

·         NEPA Status: Approved.

·         Sabre visited the site and found that the door is too narrow to get the generator through.  They also found that the exhaust thimble is to small for the larger generator. IMPM has received a change order from Sabre for this work and is currently working on a DIR, which will be presented to the Finance Subcommittee at their 7/14/08 meeting.  This will impact the schedule by 2-4 weeks.

·         Motorola completed antenna design.

·         Microwave contract signed 4/25/08.

·         Trunking (2008)

·         Frequencies:

·         Trunked frequencies identified, engineered by Motorola.

·         Trunked frequencies license issued.

·         Trunked equipment delivered.

·         Combiner equipment delivered.

·         Antenna system order pending design completion.
